The North Atlantic Seafood Forum

For over two decades, the North Atlantic Seafood Forum has been recognised as the world’s leading conference for senior executives in the global seafood industry.

In the first week of March each year, more than 1,000 CEOs, experts, investors, and analysts gather in Bergen for a three-day conference offering insight and inspiration. Our goal is to keep seafood executives updated on the latest trends, market forecasts, technology, sustainability, and industry challenges.

Fuel is a significant contributor to costs and the carbon emissions in fisheries, but insight into developments in the Faroese fleet has been limited. Building on two projects, SmartFisk and MeCCAM, Sanna Laksá, economist at Sjókovin, will present the current status and recommendations to improve fuel efficiency and mitigate climate change in Faroese fisheries and beyond.
