The North Atlantic Seafood Forum

For over two decades, the North Atlantic Seafood Forum has been recognised as the world’s leading conference for senior executives in the global seafood industry.

In the first week of March each year, more than 1,000 CEOs, experts, investors, and analysts gather in Bergen for a three-day conference offering insight and inspiration. Our goal is to keep seafood executives updated on the latest trends, market forecasts, technology, sustainability, and industry challenges.

Sanna Laksá, economist at Sjókovin, will present the @MeCCAM project and the research area on pelagic fisheries in the Northeast Atlantic. She will outline challenges in the fisheries sector, such as the current state of fuel consumption, and highlight opportunities to reduce oil use and improve sustainability throughout the entire value chain. The focus will be on innovative technologies and science-based solutions to adapt fisheries to climate change and reduce the environmental impact of the fishing industry.
