Sjokovin has participated in the interdisciplinary work of writing an ICES report on the aquaculture industry in the Faroe Islands.

ICES Aquaculture Overviews present the interactions of the environmental, economic, and social drivers of aquaculture in an ecoregion as well as future projections and emerging threats and opportunities. ICES work on aquaculture is part of a wider portfolio of work that seeks to advance and share a scientific understanding of marine ecosystems and the services they provide—and to use this knowledge to generate state-of-the-art advice for meeting conservation, management, and sustainability goals. Therefore, in May 2022, a working group of specialists was assigned to create an overview of the Faroese aquaculture industry.

In the working group there were representatives from the Faroese authorities, advisers and researchers within the field of biology, economics, and political science. Sjokovin participated in this work and was responsible for the socio-economic analyses. Gunnvør Á Norði from Fiskaaling P/F lead the research. Heilsufrøðiliga starvsstovan, Umhvørvisstovan, Havstovan, and sp/f Avrik also participated in the creation of the overview.

The Faroese ecoregion is the third ICES ecoregion to have an Aquaculture Overview published. The previous publications have described the Aquaculture industries in the North Atlantic Sea and in the Celtic Sea.
